EU Publishes Post Brexit Guidance for Dual-Use Goods

The new document recently released details nothing we didn’t know already, that being the transition period ends on 31st December and the UK becomes a ‘Third Country’. What is very strange is that the UK has not been added to the EU001 General Export Authorisation meaning individual licenses (or a global license) will need to be used. With export licensing regimes almost identical and both territories being Wassenaar signatories, it is very unusual that the EU is not recognising this fact and appears to be making more of a political decision in order to make trade with the UK difficult and restrictive.

On the UK side there has been a OGL in place for some months now for dual-use goods to travel to the EU very easily from the UK. You can read the whole text of the document here.
